Roles

DPS: Powerful Fire-IMG DPS, the culmination of 6 years of journey. HoFi's full potential is only unlocked in Herrscher Trio team with Herrscher of Origin and Herrscher of Truth.

Rite of Oblivion DPS: When HoFi equips the new Divine Key Waxing Moon, she unlocks Astral Ring: Rite of Oblivion. HoFi's role also expands into a support for the following teams:

Vita Support: In 7.8, HoFi+DLC is an important support for the new valk Vita [Lone Planetfarer]. Without HoFi, Vita loses around 50% DMG, which is massive, and at this point, even Vita support performs better than Vita DPS. This will remain true until we get a new Rite-of-Oblivion character.

World Star Support: Can trigger Domain Resonance marks 6 times.

HoOrigin Support: Iskandar stigma has buffs for HoOrigin DPS. However, HoOrigin top score bosses have not appeared so far in live version.

General AR Support: As a RoOblivion character, HoFi can technically support other AR teams, but she is as terrible as Coralie.

Pull Recommendation

New Players on HoFi: In 7.8, HoFi is available in spending event shop. You need to spend 44,800 crystal to get enough tokens for HoFi card. If you have enough crystals, and you are pulling Vita, then it is recommended to try hitting this milestone by pulling Vita, Vita's gears, and HoFi's DLC gears. If you don't have enough crystal, then it's not recommended to get HoFi's DLC gears.

Competitive Players on DLC Gears: Recommended to get, especially for Vita support and World Star support. HoOrigin support is more of a bonus. As DPS, HoFi DPS should be more useful for 2-3 patches, since her bosses should return more often now that she gets a DLC.

For Super Whales: Waxing Moon pistol synergy (duplicates) gives global ATK (Syn1 +10 ATK, Syn2 +5 ATK, Syn3 +5 ATK).

Original Gears: No reason to get them now.

When Herrscher of Finality, Origin and Truth are in the same team, a powerful new playstyle is enabled.

Leader: With Domain of Genesis weapon equipped, HoFi lead is better in Abyss for more dmg, HoO lead is better in Arena for initial sp.

Leader: With Waxing Moon weapon equipped, HoFi lead activates AR Rite of Oblivion. In Arena, also gives initial sp.

AstralOp: AR regen from asop doesn't matter too much for Trio team since you always need one full rotation for the first Stellar Outburst, and two full rotations to get subsequent Stellar Outburst. But for min-maxing cases, Songque gives 10 AR after SO ends, so you can activate the next SO slightly earlier.

Requirement: This lineup requires Herrscher of Finality with the new Divine Key and Iskandar Stigma. No, you cannot put Iskandar on another valk. No, this lineup does not work if HoFi only has Iskandar but not the new Divine Key.

HoTr Support: In this lineup, HoFi also contributes dmg, and Trio Joint Bursting mechanic is still being utilized.

Other Supports: This lineup relies mostly on HoOrigin's own damage, and HoOrigin's default ult is used.

Which One is Better: Based on the data we have so far - In Abyss, Trio team is better. In Arena, any support works.

Valkyrie:

Vita's leader skill grants powerful effects such as Elemental Breach and stronger Ultimate, but requires three members from AR Rite of Oblivion (RoO). In 7.8, the only RoO valks beside Vita are Coralie and HoFi with Waxing Moon.

In 7.8, HoFi with Waxing Moon + Coralie are the only optimal supports for Vita DPS. Missing HoFi with Waxing Moon will make you lose 50% of Vita's damage.

AstralOp:

For now, Songque and Kiana are the best AstralOp until we get a dedicated RoOblivion AstralOp.

Songque: For battles that require multiple Stellar Outburst, Songque is better since she gives 30 AR after SO ends.

Serapeum: Serapeum is worse because her buffs require either AR World Star or AR Wheel of Destiny activation (including AR regen). Her [Passive 3] debuff requires members with Shadow Star trait to reach max value - Coralie and Hofi do not have the trait.

In 7.8, Vita + Thelema is the best vs Oblivion Homu. As of writing this, there is no updated abyss data for SIMP support.

In 7.7, SIMP + Thelema is the best vs Bloodthirsty SD-Mech Swarm.

Sena has 10 resonance trigger limit. When Sena is the only resonance generator in the team, you can skip the last three trigger attacks.

In S0 team, Helia is still very good, just lacking time stop.

EQUIPMENT

BEST: Waxing Moon + Iskandar

Best set for both dps and support roles.

Waxing Moon: A must-have for HoFi: Huge dmg buff with important utilties:

1. Enables Astral Ring system for HoFi. HoFi gains AR Rite of Oblivion, as well as Omniscient Star (RoOblivion) and Domain Resonance (WorldStar) traits.

2. Similar to Domain of Genesis, Waxing Moon allows HoFi to quickly gain Descent points, massively improves rotation.

3. Gives access to a new, stronger, cooler Ultimate.

4. Synergy (duplicates) gives global ATK (Syn1 +10 ATK, Syn2 +5 ATK, Syn3 +5 ATK).

Iskandar: Has DPS and support buffs. Requires Waxing Moon to activate most of the effects.

Q: Can I use Iskandar on other valks or HoFi with Domain of Genesis?
A: No, the stigma effects specifically require HoFi with Waxing Moon.

SP Regen: Iskandar only gives sp regen after you use Ult (20 sp) and after activating Stellar Outburst (10 sp), while Kiana Kaslana stigma gives 16 sp during rotation.

Affix: Full ATK

OLD: Domain of Genesis + Kiana Kaslana

Old equipment. As DPS, you can use Kiana Kaslana with Waxing Moon pistol, but there is no reason to, because it's just worse than Iskandar.
